Help me put the modded crossovers back in the LSi9s

First of all - a giant thank you to Ben (ben62670) for taking the time to mod my new LSi9s.

The crossovers came back today and so I need some help / advice on what I do to install them back in the speaker cabs. Because I'm a relative noob here.

If you see the pics below, the 3 Dayton caps (90uf x 3) have 2 blue leads on 'em. And then associated wires / leads are attached to the crossovers. Is there a certain polarity (+/-) I need to hook these up with? Just not sure which end connects to which side :)

Second question - do I simply hot glue these caps to the inside of the speaker cab? Thanks guys...

I see the + / - labeled on the crossover, but I can't tell which side + / - on the Daytons.

OK - I read that polypropylene caps don't have polarity. So I guess it doesn't matter. Please tell me if I'm wrong - thx.

You're correct, there is no polarity.

    Thanks Face.

Yeah I'll report back. I'm guessing there is some burn in to be done?

Alright after some rework on the left speaker (hot glue came loose and at first I was only hearing the tweeter), the LSi's are up and sounding wonderful. I guess they need to settle down for a few weeks, but the clarity and low end thump are awesome :)

I still need to figure out how much toe in is optimal, but right now they're sounding good.

Just a few more late night musings ...

Was listening to some old Elton John tracks - Madman Across the Water, Rocketman, Daniel, etc. at low volume. The separation and clarity of each separate instrument is amazing. The high-hats on Rocketman sound 'live' and focused - like no wasted sound. Hell I'm hearing ambient melodies that I don't think I've really noticed w/ my A21 / RTi A7 combo. Great tweeter btw - silky smooth.

Worth every penny. And this is also the first time I'm actually getting to hear the NAD integrated too - very happy with it.

You should switch your computer desk with your AV cab so you can lay in bed and listen to the LSi straight on. I'd imagine the sound stage would be much better than sitting in a chair right in front of the screen with them practically in your ears :)

Near field listening can actually present some stupid good staging with the right speaker.

    Just a FWIW.

Sitting about 5 ft away, the staging is actually pretty nice - but it did cross my mind to put the speakers in front of the bed. I'll probably just get a nice ottoman to put my feet up on :)

Did I mention these speakers are scary good?? Ben did a great job.

Well I aimed the speakers at my shoulders at about 5 ft away. My chair has wheels so it's just a matter of moving to the sweet spot. What happens if I just aim the speakers fwd?

Sweet setup Praz! Nothing like an insane PC rig!

I love the sound of my upgraded LSis. Seriously, every time I'm running just my 25s in stereo, I think I have surround on. The detail is immaculate. I don't think it will be long before I opt for even nicer components in my XOs.

I can't wait to get some 9s for my HT. The date keeps getting pushed back, but I'll make it happen sooner or later.

Makes sense - even toe'd in, if I sit too close I can tell I'm losing detail. I think the current setup should work well for now - don't have too many options for rearranging furniture in my room. Anyway, so far sound great so I'm happy. I barely have the NAD volume up 1/4 of the way and it gets loud!

My cousin (i've posted a few times about his pending HT area remodel) is going to w/ LSi9s and an LSi C upfront after hearing about these from me :) So you're welcome Polk.
