Anyone have any experience with these? I just picked up the SW 112 on closeout at UE. I know most people on here dislike their subs and they're probably not worth their full retail price but for what I paid, I don't think I could do better. The thing I like most about the 112 is that it's not boomy like my Sub 10 is. Bass is well defined and impactful. I just put in Master and Commander and was blown away. My only regret is that I can't add a second sub - that was the last one they had :frown: .

I have a little Klipsch SWV sub that I use with my Dahlquist DQ10s. I've tried 4 or 5 different subs with them and like this one the best. I have nothing bad to say about Klipsch subs.

I have not heard these new subs...but the design looks a bit like a Velodyne to me? Polk also uses the slot port on their DSW subs?

I suspect this new design probably makes them a bit less boomy than the older SUB 10/12 series which could play loud for LFEs but always seemed slightly out of control on music to me? Actually, I would like to hear one of these out of curiosity.

My sub is nothing special...a 300 watt RMS 12" Boston Acoustics pretty much in the same price range/category as that Klipsch and the Polk DSW600? It serves my purposes for now.

Before the Sub10, I had a nice little RW8 from Klipsch and while it wasn't particular great for movies, it was perfect for music - still wishing I hadn't sold it. The SW series is supposed to be a step up from the Synergy subs and after comparing the two, I'd say that's about right.

One of the first things I noticed upon opening the box is that it does looks like a Velodyne sub. I think it's a step in the right direction. Their older subs just screamed, "Look at me!" Looks like they redesigned all of their subs and definitely for the better.
