So unsecured kids can still ride in the bed of pickup trucks in AZ?

    Bob,
If we keep overlooking the little things, and dismissing them as not battle worthy, when do we draw the line? When is too much, too much? NOTE: Too much is already HERE. Know how? Because all the "little stuff" was too petty to bother about.

Get my point? Gubments a sneaky ****, ain't she?

This is a simple fix. Allow people in the back of pickups everywhere, sans highways. Did we really need legislation for this? Can we please get our F'n state budget addressed now?

    Right?

Just goes to show you, all the rules in the world don't guarantee you S@#T; it just robs you of your freedom. I'll take the 60's and 70's back anyday. I'll live on the "ragged" edge...LOL. (no seatbelts, fireworks, backyard football with no pads, ya know, all that crazy stuff). Can you imagine a kid today trying to walk down the street with a BB gun? Holy crap, SWAT and Homeland security would be called. Hilarious.

Imagine how many new laws have been written since 1968. Now think about today, right now. Are we any better off? Crazy huh? We've gone friggin backwards.

This post, though a relatively tame topic, has sent me into rant mode--for that I apologize, but I think you can at least appreciate my enthusiasm?

Bob, I know you're trying to keep me on the rails, and I dig that about you baby. There's nothing but love from this side of the table man.

I do get your point. I'm usually on the other side of this debate, in fact. This one just doesn't bother me as much as usual because it's not that intrusive and seems rational. But I totally hear you.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Hehe...."ragged edge". Those were the days, man. Something my youngin' will never experience.

Hell yeah. You didn't get arrested for every damn thing. You got chewed out, taken home, and got your butt spanked. No record, no ADHD, no carpal tunnel, you played man. You got some stitches, an occassional broken bone, skinned knee, even a bloody lip once in a while. You lived. You worked hard, and you played hard. Mom & Dad were the gub'ment.

    What's happened to US?

Rules are FORMAL. Something has to be done, there's no room for common sense or reason. Rules make us lazy-brained because we don't have to resolve "gray areas" with critical thinking skills. We no longer make a stand based on our own beliefs, we make a stand because the rule says to.

Ahhhh, I miss those days, back in the 80's when we could do that here in CA.

You've got balls for saying it out loud, but yeah, you're right. Why pin everyone else down, remove liberties/freedoms because a few don't get it?

I am not trying to be mean. Who knows it could be my fate. Just dont want to drag others down with me or have some one drag me down.
