I read and finally thought to go to this sub but don't seem to find it most of the places. I thought many people saying it to be under $250-300 but Amazon is the only place I see it now at $450. Is this the good price for this sub?

Honestly I wouldn't pay that, I bought one after Christmas from amazon for $220 shipped and one before that for $199 shipped from newegg. I just sold them both with cables for $375, however I looked around and they're definitely getting harder to find. I'd be patient as they come up a lot on ebay, craigslist, amazon etc. I just personally think if you can swing $450 then you should look into some other subs.

I haven't set aside up to $450 for the sub but I can go up to $350. I see DSW microPRO 1000 8" in that price range on Polk ebay but doesn't know how good it is compared to PSW505 ..primarily for music?

I've never heard the DSW line before but i'm sure someone here can chime in. I know the 505 can dig lower and is more suited for home theater, but can be a little slow and not as crisp for music.
