Hey Again,
I recently upgraded my system with a pair of SDA 1's for mains ( replacing RTA 11TL's ), a Polk center not sure of model # ( it has the 5" drivers ), Bose 901's as the surround effects, and some speakers that I need help with. All I know is that they were manufactured in Sweden by a company called RAUN that is all I can make off the original label that and a serial # of 8061511. They are about 2 1/2' tall, cast out of concrete, the speakers are arranged in "diapollo" configuration (sorry couldn't spell it right) and only have banana clip hook ups. The drivers in these cabinets are 8" or the UK equivalent to. They sound completely amazing. I have a friend that has a pair of B&W Nautilus speakers hooked to a Meridian pre-amp/ processor and separates, we hooked up my set to his system and they kept up very well with his B&W's. I only have them hooked to my NAD T773 and I love them. I would just like to know if anyone might have some more information on these and maybe more Manufactures info I greatly appreciate it.

They are not Braun. The German company Braun did not manufacture any speakers using concrete. ADS, by the way, was an American company that was purchased by Braun. They retained their separate brand-names. ADS did incorporate some of the Braun designed and manufactured drivers. ADS was eventually sold off to Directed Electronics...interesting history, but I'll stop there. Braun still exists and continues to manufacture such things as electric razors. -

I googled concrete speakers and found an old thread at AK on Rauna speakers, they're pretty interesting looking.
Also googled Rauna speakers...There's info on them out there. My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself. -
Thanks for the help. With the right name and a little surfing I found out that they are "Balder" series speakers made by Ruana, very nice sound, They make a great addition to the system I have.
Again thanks for the help -
O.T., but I owned another Swedish speaker Sonab OA-116s. Bought in 75 from an importer for 1/3rd retail. Wife got them in a divorce, then threw them out with the trash. Man, I'd like to have them back and restore them. Mine were Rosewood.
