Well, today I had some time so I made my 9ft set using black techflex. I listed these for sale here.

    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1559772#post1559772
I have enough material left to make a matching center if someone wants, but I it will only have one set of banana plugs.

Slammin - good looking speakercable. How do they sound compared to what you had previously?

I made some speakercables and interconnects, and tonearm cable myself. The results are stunning!!! I will share them perhaps later this week or over the weekend. HOwever, I had to pay an arm and a leg and a half for it. I can tell you that I will NEVER go back to what I had before.
Statistics show that 98% of us will die at some point in our lifetime.

The other 2% will work for WalMart.

I had posted about the sound earlier in this post, but there was a big difference for the better. Prior to this I had monoprice 12 ga.

What kind of gear are you using? I'm curious as I've been thinking of trying something new. (I'm using 12 ga mono wire atm as well.

It is the canare 4s11 cable. The wire consists of 4 single 14 ga wires, so I twisted them together to go into the banana plugs.

Can I ask where you ordered the techflex and heat shrink from? And which size(s) did you order?

I just rec'd my Canare 4S11 yesterday and would like to finish up the terminations like you did, twisting the red conductor together and white conductors together at each end for a single run between my external amp (Dayton/Seaton Sound SA1000) and subwoofer (MCCA/MFW-15 Turbo).

The only exception to your finished product will be WBT crimp sleeves to use WBT spades (sub end) and locking angled bananas (amp end).

I really like the way your cable looks, the tech flex really adds to it! BTW, I see you have your front speakers bi-wired. Have you thought about bi-amping them? I currently have my RTi A7's biamped from my Onkyo 805 with Kimber 8TC for both HF and LF - sounds fantastic!

I think he thought you were linking to your personal ebay auction.
Nothing wrong with linking to an ebay search.

I would agree with you, ebay is a great place to buy Techflex, I have bought it several times there, and the prices are great.

    Welcome to the forum JC.

As far as a cost if you wanted to do this yourself...I paid $39 shipped for 25ft of techflex and the heat shrink. 25ft of wire and 3 sets of banana plugs comes to $56.45 shipped. 10 GLS Safe banana plugs comes to $36 shipped. So you can make yourself a set of these for about $130 total. Obviously you have many choices on banana plugs and could do this much cheaper. I kind of messed up on the whole deal and ended up with a lot more than I needed...lol. Still very fun to make.

    Nice cables...

What size Techflex ? (sorry to seem like such an idiot, but it looks like it comes in diff sizes..

3/8" is the right size the same size as the cable.

Thanks for the link on the Canare.

I'm going to take a stab at using this to upgrade my Sennheiser stock headphone cable. Well, either this or Mogami 2534. Their both about the same price.

That Canare cable is too thick for headphones.

That's a nice set of cables. I use the 4S11 and 4S8 in my setup and don't really plan on trying anything else. I made a couple similar sets of bi-wire cables with the 4S8 (4x16ga) and the GLS safe connect plugs with great results. Excellent stuff for under $100 if you ask me. Sold them on ebay... maybe I need a cool name for mine too...

    Those look AWESOME.

You've inspired me to make my own. My Canare 4S11 cable gets here Tuesday. Quick question. What size Techflex and heat shrink did you order? (I realized this was asked a few times, and I didn't want to bother you with a PM)

UPDATE: Found it, 3/8" for the Techflex and Heat Shrink. Thanks for the inspiration to do this :)
