WDTV Live Plus Media Player, with Buffalo WLI-UC-GN wireless-N ultra-compact USB 2.0 adapter
Asking $99 + insured shipping, will gladly split any Paypal fees. Both items still selling on Amazon for about $140 total as of this writing. Reasonable offers considered, lowballers will be silently mocked...
One adult owner, no pets/no smoke/no kids environment. Both WDTV and Buffalo units bought from Amazon (6/22/10 and 6/23/10), an authorized dealer. Used for maybe 50 hours before upgrading to another media player a few weeks ago (built-in 1TB drive) and 8GB of NAS.

All original accessories, remote, power adapter, never-used AV cables, inserts, packaging, etc. included. We used this to stream lossless (WAV?) and lossy (mp3) files from USB-attached external hard drive (not included). We streamed wirelessly from the home network with relative success, though did experience some stuttering after hours of playing music. Not sure what was the exact issue, but once we changed from the wireless USB dongle to a WDTV LiveWire Powerline Network (ie, hard-wired, not included), streaming was flawless. Personally, I'm not a big fan of wireless streaming any type of large, lossless files...hard-wired is the only way to go.
We only used the HDMI output to play thru a Yamaha RX-V863 receiver for listening to music, via Polk RTi28/PSW303 speakers, in two-channel mode. Video was displayed at 1080p on a Samsung LN-T4061F LCD TV.
Though this player has the capabilities, we did not use this player for streaming Netflix, Pandora, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, Blockbuster, etc.
Condition is 8/10, only for some very, very light surface scratches on the top of the casing, where the external hard drive had been sitting for a short period of time. You have to look closely to even see them, but wanted to point this out.
I have sold a few items here successfully, but have yet to receive +FB from the Buyers (even though I left them +FB, go figure). I do have 100% FB on Ebay (go.vols!), AVS Forums (mak99), etc.
PM me with questions, offers, etc...thanks!

So you were able to stream FLAC on this correct? If so what did it stream as? I have read it only streams 16/44 rather than 24/192.... Is this correct?
I myself am in the market for a FLAC streaming device and have been debating building a HTPC to make sure I can send the signal out via HDMI and get 24/192 bitrates...."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." ES - thanks for your interest. From the WDTV website, this player supports the following file formats:
- Video - AVI (Xvid, AVC, MPEG1/2/4), MPG/MPEG, VOB, MKV (h.264, x.264, AVC, MPEG1/2/4, VC-1), TS/TP/M2T (MPEG1/2/4, AVC, VC-1), MP4/MOV (MPEG4, h.264), M2TS, WMV9, FLV (h.264)
- Photo - JPEG, GIF, TIF/TIFF, BMP, PNG
- Audio - MP3, WAV/PCM/LPCM, WMA, AAC, FLAC, MKA, AIF/AIFF, OGG, Dolby Digital, DTS
- Playlist - PLS, M3U, WPL
- Subtitle - SRT, ****, SSA, SUB, SMI
I personally did not stream FLAC files, as I wasn't sure how to rip CDs to this format. I have some FLAC program downloaded to my laptop though not really sure how to use it (analog fan still learning ). So I unfortunately can't answer your question, but maybe a smarter Polkie than me can confirm this?? I only used WMP to rip CDs to that external hard drive in both WAV and mp3 formats.
Also to clarify a PM question from another interested party, you don't need the LiveWire Powerline to hard-wire this - you can just connect it directly to your router/modem thingy like any other device. I am only using the Powerline kit since running a dedicated ethernet cable between router and media player was impossible without lots (and lots) of holes drilled in finished walls and ceilings.Main HT:JVC DLA-RS45135" Elite Screens fixed frame, 1.1 gainMarantz SR7007 (operating as pre-pro)Emotiva XPA-1 x3 (L+C+R), UPA-7 (surrounds)Oppo BDP-103D/BDP-83Toshiba HD-XA2Panamax M5410 Pro x3Polk LSiM707s, LSiC706, 80 F/X-LS, 65-RTSeaton Sound/MCCA MFW "Turbo" + custom Dayton SA1000 sub amp (orig. If Endershadow passes on this I will take it.

Its yours. I am looking at building a custom HTPC to run XBMC as its a more flexible and customizable interface.
This would be much cheaper but I have wanted to build a HTPC for a couple years so its just time to friggin do it ."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." EndersShadow good luck on the HTPC and you are right the wdtv will be much cheaper but will get the enjoyment of the build with the HTPC. -

Yup, just got all my music in FLAC, so now going to rip all my DVD's and blu-rays (once I get my study on to know how to).
Once I get those two things done, XBMC is the platform for me.
I am just not sure if I want to go with Windows 7 + XBMC or just XBMC.
