PSB Speakers?

Anyone know anything about PSB speakers? I'm sure there's a thread around here somewhere, but stupid search function won't let me search for psb.
I'm looking at both the Image B6 and the Imagine B, both bookshelf models. I don't need high end really, so the B6 should work for my needs, but wanted to see if anyone here has heard them.

I've owned a few pairs and would say they sound much like the RTi series if you need a reference.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I auditioned the Imagine B, I really liked the speaker a lot.. for a speaker its size i think it puts out quite a bit of bass(sometimes maybe a little too much), and i think it has nice smooth sound personally. i haven't heard any other psb speakers however.Main 2ch -

A little over 3 years ago I replaced my SDA-2 speakers with PSB Synchrony One towers, and never looked back. I am continually amazed at how good they sound, and with each upgrade and tweak I have done over that time they reveal even more.
Around 1-2 years ago I replaced my LSiC with a PSB Synchrony One center, and that was, and is, a great upgrade. It blends right in with the 4 LSi15s in the HT. It is about triple the size of the LSiC and really brings the center channel out. I guess because it is also 4 ohms when I did the speaker balancing with the AVR tone it was exactly the same as the LSiC, and the other 4 speakers.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

Here's a nice set of bookshelf speakers with stands from a north Texas Polkie.
If I was looking for a nice set, hard to go wrong with these.
There are so many great bookshelf speakers out there. DFW CL has had a
buttload of great ones show up in recent weeks.
Have you looked at small floorstanders? That way you can avoid the stands.
Try looking at a pair of Rega's. I've kept a pair stashed that I just can't
let go of, even though I'm not using them. The footprint on many floorstanders isn't any larger than good stands."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -
I was leaning towards the PSB because I've heard that they're decent speaker and because their dark cherry finish is a perfect match for our furniture.
These are going to be living room speakers in the new condo. I figured if I can get a decent sounding speaker and at the same time match our furniture and keep a consistent look in that area then it's a double win.
My RTi towers sound fine, but don't necessarily blend in all that well with the furniture. -
PSB's are great speakers for the price. They're very similar to Paradigm, not so much Polk. Paul Barton was an engineer under Paradigm until he decided to leave and start his own speaker company.
They have a slightly brighter sound than the Polks due to their metal drivers. I've had the Image T65, B15, and the C40. The bookshelves are more than capable of keeping up with the tower models. I would say most of the PSB image/imagine stuff blows away the Paradigm Monitor line.
If I had to describe PSB Image's sound it would be like good bass, slightly recessed midrange and decent highs (slightly sibiliant). Give it an audition if you can.

Not sure if anyone else here besided Assimilated and myself has the Image B6s. Seems like the more prominent B25/B15 never got talked about much here even when they were in their heyday. Anyway, as a new owner, I'm loving the B6s. They're actually more attractive in person (pretty much a first for me, I always idealize how new speakers will look in my room) due to some subtle softened lines that don't come across very in photos. The sound is also "just right". Having run through many pairs of bookshelf speakers in my second system just for fun, these were some of the most likable from the moment I first heard them. Really enjoying them. Combo of looks and sound for the price is just great. Now I'm thinking about building out the rest of system around them.
