Silver is a better contact, but if the connector is solid silver they tend to be weak.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

What's under the plating is more important.
Keep it simple, gold plated copper."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -

Agreed.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."
President of Club Polk -
Whereas silver is a better conductor, it's conductivity is only slightly better than copper. But besides the expense, it is a soft metal the connectors would be weak. And it has a tendency to tarnish and oxidize.
Solid OFC copper is a stronger connector with great conductance. But it, too, has a tendancy to oxidize.
Gold plated copper is the better choice. The copper offers great conductance and gold plating doesn't oxidize. -
Silver oxide is still a better conductor than gold, or even copper. So my preference is silver over pure copper.
As far as differences, some claim gold has a warmer sound.Turntable: Empire 208

I prefer silver over copper for my speaker cable terminations, and silver over low conductivity brass for RCAs.
