I've searched and talked to Polk but still don't have an answer:smile: I have a pair of 7Cs with the 1000 tweeter and I'd like to replace the 1000s with US Peerless. I have a complete set of drivers with crossovers from a set of 7Bs. I intended to use the Peerless tweeters from the 7B parts. But........the 7Bs crossover has one 2.7ohm and one 4.5ohm resistor and the crossover in my 7Cs have only one 2.7ohm resistor. Would the Peerless tweeter work properly with just the one 2.7ohm resistor? TIA

I have another pair of 7s with no suffix on the model number and I replaced the 2000s in that pair with RDO 194s. The RDOs wont fit in my 7Cs without modifying the opening and I don't want to do that.

Enough on tweeters and crossovers already! Right? One of my amps is gold and the other is black. Which one would have the most power to drive my LSixyzlptq speakers?

I take it you have all the parts for 7B's, but no cabinets. If that is the case, take everything out of the 7C's and replace with the 7B parts. Done.

    +1

No, the 7C crossover with just the single 2.7 ohm resistor won't work with the Peerless(or won't sound good with it anyway). You'll definitely want to use the 7B crossovers with both 2.7 and 4.5 ohm resistors.

The 7B's and 7C's used different midwoofers too, IIRC. If possible, you'd want to use the 7B midwoofer.

I'll just put the 1000s back in and after I rebuild the crossovers for the 7Bs Ill put the Peerless in. I'll probably JB weld the drivers from the 7Bs and change them out too. Thanks for the replies.
