...every "Contemporary audio system should have 2 back up systems in same area to show progression.

1 - present system

2 - $75.00 system from CL or SA. - Sony, Kenwood, Pioneer etc. (Some can sound quite nice)

3 - Boombox

....after many years of "ONLY" hearing high end components.....i forget what "****" sounds is like. Will impress naysayers. Refresh your hearing in your space.

...Start with boombox and work your way up. IT's an experience.

- Especially for the youngins!!!!

Going from my bedroom system to my living room, reminds me what good audio sounds like on a daily basis. I know what you mean.

Every system in my house sounds better since I built in the spouse notch filter. I am also thinking of adding an upgrade to this that includes a "squelch" function to help curb any bleed thru.

Do you notice any improvement with your method vs. the old fashioned ball-gag method?
