Hey folks-

I have a pair of SDA 2's and I'm having an issue I can't figure out the cause.

On my left speaker, I have two sl2000 tweeters. The left one works the right one doesn't. I thought maybe the tweeter was bad. I took them both out, plugged the "bad" one in to the known working side, and still had nothing. Tweeter bad, right?

However, when I plug the good tweeter in the "bad" side, the good one didn't work on that side either. When I plugged the good tweeter back in its original side, it worked.

So, either its a weird coincidence that the right side of the tweeters on the left speaker is bad, along with that tweeter, or something else is going on that I don't know or understand the reason.

Can others follow the picture? Clear as mud?

Please help me.

Thanks,
Jason

Not the original owner. The previous owner was the only other. They sat in storage the majority of their life.

To be clear you are not using tweeters from the right speaker correct? What color are the wires on the inside tweeter, and the outside tweeter?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Do you have the interconnect cable?
It is a black cable that goes from the left speaker to the right speaker. If you do not have it plugged in you will not get anything from the dimensional side.

Not using the tweeters from the right side. Inside tweeter is black and white, and the outside tweeter is blue and white.

The interconnect cable is connected. When it isn't, that left speaker has no tweeter working, and when plugged in, the dimensional tweeter works. The inside tweeter should work even if the interconnect cable isn't connected, no?

Check the connection on the crossover.
