We've found a few of these in our place in the last couple weeks. Anyone know what it is, it's about an inch long...
We keep our place really clean, but we do back up to a nature preserve and find the occasional creepy crawler, mostly spiders and such. This is a new one though...

Looks like some type of ground beetle. Not really anything to worry about. In fact, most think they are beneficial. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Had a couple of them in NJ last year. Have no idea what they are but they kind of freaked me out.

I wouldn't sweat it. Unless one charges you of course. Go for the soft underbelly. -

Yes, that's exactly what it is. Nothing to worry about though. They won't "invade" your house. They eat other insects, and won't go after your carpet, food or anything else. Just try to avoid stepping on them.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Nope, little **** will burn any soft tissue or mucous membrane. Granted, not like a 3rd degree burn but it hurts as bad as pepper spray and if you're allergic to any compounds in the nasty stuff, it can cause an allergic reaction that includes, a rash, hives and even blistering.
It ain't gonna kill you unless something else or additional is wrong with you but you still don't want it happening to you either.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
