Decent CL Find

I have been looking for some RTi12's or 10's to replace my 8's up front. I picked up a pair of cherry (in both definitions of the word) in southern Colorado for $425. The seller said he did not like the way they sounded. I noticed his Emotiva amps - not judging, just observing.

Got them home, hooked up, and enjoying them.

    I've been wanting to replace my Rti8's with some 12's too. I've been looking for like 6 months straight and can't find anything, nice score. How do they compare?

    Bright speaker, bright amp. Not a good combo for the seller. How do you like them compared to your rti8's?

    I looked for about 24 months before coming across these - be patient. How do they compare to the 8's? In home theater, I don't notice too much difference. In 2-channel, oh yeah. The Sunfire has an "enhanced bass" mode in 2-channel. I had to turn that off! :biggrin:

    Interesting note for all the HT-only guys looking to upgrade...

    I probably should clarify we have not watched any big action movies yet. I did feel like I was on the track with Secretariat. I would like to re-watch the A-Team or the Expendables and see what these big boys can do.
