Hi There,
I have Yamaha RX-V459. I checked its manual, seems like it doesn't has a bi-wired setting. Can I still connect the speaker wired as bi-wired connection? Does the sound still improve?
Additional info: I am using Wharfedale Diamond 9 series 5.1 speakers.
Thanks a lot.

No such thing as a bi-wire setting. You connect to the avr the same as any other speaker cable. The difference is on the speaker end, you'll have four connections instead of the regular 2. You would remove the straps between binding post on the speaker, and connect to all 4 posts. Will it make a difference in sound ? Probably not, minimal at best.HT SYSTEM-

WG, welcome to Club Polk. No, the sound wouldn't "still" improve, because it wouldn't have been improved in any case. Sure, you can connect two lengths of speaker wire rather than one to a single terminal, but the difference is electrically of no audible significance.
