Hello fellow audiophiles,

I've been the proud owner of a pair of Polk Monitor 70's for a few months on my stereo home-theater setup and am still very happy with the audio quality. I'm now turning my attention to my PC:

I'm going for a 2.1 setup and planning on a Sony amp with ~100-120 watts/channel and the PSW110 for the sub.

For the speakers they have to sit on my computer desk and will be approximately 18-24 inches distance. I'll be using them primarily in a HT role (games, BluRay, etc), and a lessor role for music. I'm hoping to stay within the range of $200-300 for just my speaker budget.

I've been eyeing the TSi200's, as well as the RTI A1's. I'm not sure if those are good for comparison. If it were within the budget I'd settle with the RTI A3's and call it good, but they seem to be a bit over my funds.

I don't know of any store that demos both these models, so a head-to-head comparison is out unfortunately. If anyone could give any input as to their experience with these speakers, or if you have a recommendation for something else I'd be grateful to hear (well, read really).

Thanks much for your time!

I just got a pair of energy CB-5. They are around $90 in amazon, although I got them for 70. They are awesome for desktop use, small 4.5 in drivers but lots of presence and balanced sound. Energy makes great products.
