I'm going to attempt my first power cable build and will be using the DH Labs power plus cable. I'm not exactly sure how thick the DH labs power plus cable is and am wondering if I will need to use the 1/2" or 3/4" techflex jacketing?

1/2 should work it will flex- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Thanks, I was just looking at the techflex site and they had some sizing tables showing the 1/2 flexes up to 3/4. So that will work.

I have some 1/2 tech flex around here - and I can easilly get it to flex well over an inch ---- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Assuming I don't f%$# it up, I should be able to build 2 of these:

for the less than the price to buy 1 new. -
DH Labs is great stuff; I just finished build a pair of their Pro Audio XLRs yesterday and their quality is fantastic. Good luck with the project!

Argh!......the DH labs cable is too thick with the heat shrink and techflex for the wattgate housing to fit over. Must re-think.

Take the rubber insert completely off the Wattgate.
You can use a small pick to run around where the rubber meets the connector.Testing

I did remove the rubber gasket but I still had problems with the jacket and heat shrink being too thick so I decided to remove the tech flex jacket and when I did this I everything fit well. Actually the DH labs cable looks nice bare.
