I bought my 5jr+'s In 1990, after I heard the sda2's that I could not afford. I don't remember what ever happened to the jr's.

I recently purchased a pair of sda2's, 5jr+'s, and a pair of 4's. The sda's and 4's will be part of a 6.1 system. What I need help with are the +'s. They are going to be my bedroom monitors, and I have a few questions:

1. Can anyone suggest a nice tube (integrated) amp? That's what I want to use.

2. Can I run a sub with that kind of amp?

3.where is a good place to start looking?

Thanks

1 Knowing your budget would help. No point in suggesting 5000 dollar integrateds if your budget if 500.

2 You can always run a sub. The question is, do you need to?

3 Here? Or, more precisely, looking for what? An amp? Sub? Tips? A poke with a sharp stick? (Hey, some people are into that <looks around nervously>)

I'd use the 5s and 4s, with a sub for the HT, and the SDAs for a 2 channel system. Sorry for the unsolicited advise.

My budget is about 2500. I know it's not much, but with gas prices, it's all I can spare.

Hmmmmmmm. That's not a bad idea cubdog. The reason I chose that setup is space. The HT is in the living room, and the SDAs have room there, and the 2 channel is in the bedroom...where the SDAs would be wasted, I think.

Quad...the help I was looking for was mainly for the tub amp, I can pick a sub ect...but I'm new to tubes, and could use a experienced hand.
