i thought my mission speakers were the problem when there was a crackling noise from one so i took the one in to be tested and repaired if necessary. The shop tested the speaker and said it was fine.
They reckoned the problem was probably with the amp and I was advised to open it up and use switch cleaner. The shop owner didnt do repairs and went on to say something about opening it up and where the volume control is unscrew something and clean the switching thing there. At this point he lost me and I would like some advice on what way i do this, if you can help please keep it as as simple as possible as i dont have a clue what to do.
Thanks in advance

No problem, but the best place to post troubleshooting/maintenance, etc questions can be found here:

Doesn't sound like you're real comfortable with tearing into the guts of your gear (and that isn't a bad thing), so it might be best to find a shop to do the work for you.
If you can give a general location, I'm sure somebody here can give you a good heads up on a good shop.Sal Palooza -
