I 5 has a wider cabinet and the PR is larger than the driver. The 5jr is fairly narrow and the driver and PR are the same size.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers

Early 5 Jr's were ported and have a fuse. Later Jr's were treated to a 6.5" passive and Safety Guard. They were actually called 5 Jr.+ Hope this helps.

I have a similar pair... they didn't put the + on the exterior label, but usually it's stamped on the label stuck to the back of the drivers.

There was also a 5Jr + Series II that used one of the trilam tweeters (SL2500). If the tweeter says Silver Coil Dome with a clear plastic cap it's the 5Jr+, if it's all black it's the Series II.

The Junior model gets upset when you talk about the other model and constantly reference what he's done wrong musically compared to his loudspeaker Dad.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

5B before they started using a polyswitch in place of the fuse. Gold logo or sliver logo on the grill? S/B silver.

The same version I have. Uses same drivers as the 5B with polyswitch. MW6502.

EDIT: The date says 1992 on the driver because it's later replacement. The other driver is original and says 1985 or 1986.

As long as it has the sl2000 and isn't a series II; it's the same speaker. They replaced the fuse with a poly switch.
