Just finished listening to the nothing-special, late-1990s redbook CD version of Aja on the living room hifi (the best part is the liner notes on these issues!) and I just wanted to say...
I sure am glad that some 1930s-era nameless engineer, or team of same, bothered to invest the time and effort to develop the 2A3.

That's a photo my son took for me of a cheap Chinese ("ValveArt") 2A3 manufactured about a decade ago - still fairly decent sounding, though. I've got 55-ish year old US made dual plates in the Paramours at the moment... and they sound so... so good. Not as photogenic as the cheapies, though.
