This one is a 20 wpc stereo receiver. Made in Japan. Works perfectly and is in great physical condition. The faceplate is sliver and the chassis is black. Comes with the original box, packing material, FM antenna, manual and still has the warranty card. It also comes with the complete schematics. It never had remote capability. Great for a garage rig.

Asking $60.00 plus shipping. Weight will be about 15 lbs.

Paypal sent as a gift from a checking account only. Personal check if I know you.

I think you might have a fairly rare one there Jesse. That model # rings no bells. If it's 70's and not 80's, or it's a model sold overseas...

Is it this one, an SX-600L?

    front.jpg

    Or this one, an SX-600T?

Some info on the 600 Series but the only 600 models I've seen are 600L and 600T.

My dad had an SX-600L a long time ago but it was broken and wasn't worth much so he sold it in a yard sale for $10. That was back in the early 90's. I never heard it play though.

IIRC, the 600 T was a tube unit............but just going on memory here. Built in about 1964.

The 600L was a SS unit.

It looks exactly like the one John posted of the 600L, but this one has no "L".

    It does not.

In that case, add an extra zero to the price.......j/k

If there's no L or T at the end of the model then it probably is a pretty rare bird. Not rare in the positive sense necessarily though. More rare because nobody really kept them around. Good middle of the road item though. There were apparently two kinds. A 240V version for European or Australian markets and a 120V version for U.S. only. The Australian one is a KU version and the U.S. one is a YP version.

I can't seem to find much info on an SX-600 but there is an abundance of info on an SX-600L and an SX-600T. However, you can get replacement manuals for the SX-600. Since it's a rather common chassis though, I don't think it's worth astronomical amounts of money. It is from a time when Pioneer had some real nice stereo stuff so F1nut's price of $60 + shipping is very fair for one in good shape. It'll be a performer for sure and nice base for a vintage rig or for a place where you just need some decent tunes like a home gym or a basement bar, bedroom or even a kitchen. I don't think I'd relegate it to a garage rig though. The silver faces don't do well eith all the dirt.

Looking like that w/original box, packing and manual? You have a rare one bro.

I'm talking collectibility, not sonics. Does it use those asshat speaker connector things, and if so, are they there? And a situation where you can't get real mono I see.

I just realized you're talking about that mid-80's looking piece, the "L". Forget everything I said.
