Why not keep it all in the family and go with a pair of RTi A3 bookshelves? Or I believe you could just go with another set of FXi A6's...."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Get some SDA-1.2TL's for up front and drop the A9's to the sides or rear for surround duty. You will be blown away by the performance in two channel and the majestic power you will have in HT. No sub required. The Gear... Carver "Statement" Mono-blocks, Mcintosh C2300 Arcam AVR20, Oppo UDP-203 4K Blu-ray player, Sony XBR70x850B 4k, Polk Audio Legend L800 with height modules, L400 Center Channel Polk audio AB800 "in-wall" surrounds. Marantz MM7025 stereo amp. Simaudio Moon 680d DSD

+1 with Ender there. A pair of direct firing speakers in the rear, move the FXi's to your side surrounds. Sounds awesome, and I speak from my own experience as well.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

They are huge, I grant you that, but they do such a magnificent job of making certain the floor does not float away in low gravity situations.

I've owned the Rotel 1050,1080,1075,1095 & now own the 1090. It's a beast that sounds great. Kind of overkill for the a9's, but more is always better.
Congrats !!! -

WOW!!!. Had no idea the Rotels were that large. The little guy puts it into perspective just how huge that amp is. Regardless though, I know it sounds great. Congrats on the purchase. How much was shipping if you don't mind me asking?Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Notice any difference between the 1095 & 1090 when running the a9's?
-
Ive noticed that a lot of people have some GREAT set ups as far as products, but then you see where or how they have it actually set up, and its boggles the mind.
Maybe its the same thing as the guys that buy the $3k rims for a 500 dollar car?
I always felt like doing the whole package up haha but then again if I could get my mitts on ONE of those rotels I be in business haha
mind me asking what you paid for them?Home Theater Setup- Receiver - Onkyo TX-RZ1100

haha no your setup is AWESOME, i wish I had it, totally jealous
I was commenting on the location. Not that that's bad either. I just always pictured people who spend that kind of coin on such a good setup, would have it overflow in every aspect. With say dedicated HT rooms and whatnot. But the more I hang around here the more I noticed my preconceived notions fly out the window haha
I know space is at a premium, especially if you have a family.Home Theater Setup- Receiver - Onkyo TX-RZ1100

Notice any difference between the 1095 & 1090 when running the a9's?
i would like to say it does sound better but havent had the chance to do a good comparison yet. will give an update a little later. the rb 1090 does have two sets of speaker terminals for bi wiring or running two speakers per side. i dont have bi-wire cables so i dont know what the difference will sound like once i do. i just have them hooked up to one set of speaker terminals right now.
maybe someone can chime in and with some experience with that. do i need some bi-wire cables or an i just run out of one speaker terminal? (to get the full potential of the amp)My setup:

Very Nice!! I always wanted to try a 1090. I have read that a dedicated power outlet really lets these shine!!!! I would think that would be for most amps but that is what I read some months ago when I was thinking about that amp..
Congrats and enjoy!! Now tell me that the A9's need a sub when they get feed that kind of power!! I was blown away at how good the A9's sound with good clean power.. -
they really shined today in 2 channel mode. i was blown away. nice that i can jam some music with just the A9's and get really good bass. not overwhelming sub bass. just nice, tight, neat bass.My setup:
