I don't play them. I rip them into my computer as FLAC (lossless) and stream them wirelessly to a Squeezebox Touch > DAC > preamp.

    What's a cd?
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Ripped to the computer in WAV and played through the W4S DAC2. Sounds great and ultra convenient.

Dependent on which system the CD gets played in, it could be a CD player, a DVD player, or a Blu-ray player.

Cambridge Audio Azur Blu ray player for Sacd , DVD audio , XRCD and HDCD over HDMI only. I rip everything else to my Apple TV using now .WAV 1411 from Apple Lossless. I buy the cd's and roip then in. I don't buy much from Apple or any other online music service but I heard Apple is going 24/96 soon so buying and storing CD's might be finally a thing of the past.

    Marantz SA-KI Pearl SACD player.

While you guys are downloading, ripping and managing folders and doing backups and fiddling with DACs and kernels and playlists, I'm listening to music.
