Two LSi FX left channels: What do I lose?

Hi All,

I bought a pair of LSi FX on bay. Alas, the seller had 4 of them and sent me 2 left channels. What do I lose with this? Is it that the dipole set-up becomes impossible?

Thanks,
Walfredo

The woofer will point the wrong way on the right speaker. I would see if you can get ahold of a right one. I am sure the other guy who has 2 rights would just as soon have a matched pair. Make sure you send the speaker to the seller and let him ship it to the other buyer. That way he cant cop out and say that it wasnt his deal because he was not involved with the swap.

just take one and swap the left/right wiring of the drivers from the crossovers. That will fix it.

Or just wire it out of phase.

I was thinking the same thing, until I took a look at the LSiFX:

I had been assuming they were just like FXi speakers, with a driver on only one side:

I think it'll be fine as is. Have you tried it? Does it sound funky?

    ^^^ what he said.

While requiring a bit more effort than simply turning them upside down, I think switching the wiring of the left and right drivers in one of the speakers is the best way to go. That way you don't get funny looks from your friends when you pull the grill off to show them off

Have the seller get you a right channel. You kill the resale value by keeping two lefts, even if you are happy with how it sounds.
