far less connection than the 990 model I have.. getting rid of the DVI and S-video really cleans up the rear of it.

    I really liked my 990. If I didn't go 2 channel I would have kept it. Great Pre on the cheap. The new one has an ugly face IMO.

    i like the addition of the MC/MM switch on the rear for different cartridges... that's a nice feature..

    Rumor has it that it will be around 1500. I think it supposed to have 2 models and one going for 2k as well. Just rumors. I like it and is very interested because of the audyessey xt32 with the sub eq. I think the higher end model will have trinnov room correction. All this is hear say. One drawback is why didn't they make them network capable.

    I agree with Ben. The face sucks almost looks toy like. For 1.5-2k they could have done better.

    Joe, I think that picture is the computer rendering rather than a photo of the real faceplate.

    I wonder how this preamp will stack up against similarly priced Integra and Marantz (currently checking out Integra 40.2 and Marantz AV7500).
