RT 400 questions

New to the forum.
Just "scored" a pair of RT 400s at Goodwill - only a few scuffs, and work perfectly.
Reviews and my first, pre-cleanup listening indicate my kind of sound: clarity, excellent imaging and substantial, clean bass.

My questions are these:
During what years were these manufactured?
Are the drivers ferro-fluid cooled?
Was the original msrp $400 per each or per pair? The Polk page on these says $400/each, but other reviews, etc. indicate $400/pair.

Great catch. The RT400's are nice speakers. I believe they were manufactured from '97-98'. Retail price was slightly above $400/pair - not sure why it says $400 EACH on Polk's page. Also not sure about the drivers. I'm sure someone here knows.

I believe they were about 450-500 for the pair back in the day. MSRP and actual will be quite different on most speakers.

I believe the tweeter is Ferro-Fluid cooled.

For the time being my RT400s are in my 2 channel system in place of the SDA 1Cs. I love these speakers.

Thanks for the replies & info!
Anyone know what the "Dynamic Balance" is all about?

By the way, my main speakers are even more vintage than the Polks:
Dyna A40XLs stacked with KLH 5s. Great imaging, but a lot of eq needed to get my preferred sound (actually, the tweeters are out on the KLHs, but the Dynas have enough to go around). These were before ferro-fluid.
I hope to use the Polks as a secondary system with my Scott 340B tube receiver, possibly for home theater sound.
