Speaking of Towers as Rears

Fellas, given my current setup, would it not make sense to place the 55i's as mains? I belive that the 55i's are a superior 2 way design when compared to the 1000i's; assuming the 1000's amps are turned off. With this sub, I am going to set everything to small, so what would be the need for the powered towers up front? The 1000's would be relegated to in essence rti38's but without the need for a stand to elevate them to ear level.
Obviously, if I were without a sub, then the 1000's would serve as mains, but with my newly purchased SVS, well cmon. Right?

That sounds like a great idea. If they'll fit right in your room I say go for it.Make it Funky!

Better yet...sell the RTi100 - get the RTi70- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
