pinkfloydz.com has just posted this:
Wish You Were Here SACD

We have received hundreds of emails over the years (Since 2005 in fact when we first broke the story of the possibility the WYWH SACD after having dinner with Pink Floyd's then Manager, who told AFG that at that time it was a 'very low priority'). Time has passed and we have been keeping a very careful ear to the ground about this release and can now tell you that it's finally on it's way. No date as yet, but be prepared for a BIG surprise when it finally does surface. Please don't email about this because we have told you all we can at this point.

Hopefully, this will be the first of many of Pink Floyd SACD's. Can't wait to hear it!

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Being Pink Floyd, I expect it to be heavily oriented in the surround sound realm, but I hope it will also be fine in stereo.

Even the artwork for the the "Wish You Were Here" SACD has been published by Storm Thorgerson in his book, "Mind Over Matter".

The bass on welcome to the machine is fantastic!! Great cd and lp. The remaster of it was a big difference over the regular cd. I would love it if this and the wall would come out. Now if Mobile fidelity would do both on sacd, that would be amazing!!

    Awesome news!!

After this, I think it's time for Meddle. Then Animals. After that, I'm less concerned about which one comes when...but they should all be released on SACD. Very few bands are more worthy of the SACD treatment IMO.
