That software is way worth the price. I am not one for buying software, but with lifetime upgrades and ease of use and it just works perfect every time with no effort.
BTW you can use the full features for one month.

Ok I got it on my computer, but don't know how to change .vob to .mpg... I'm trying to get my extender Window 7 MC to work on the x360 box. I read that I need to have .mpg so it can be seen on the x360. The .vob works fine for the main computer, for WMC. I didn't like the fact I needed to give it a file name, and the program doesn't seem to make a file for the disk.

BTW its a demo program if that makes a difference.

I use Handbrake for that. Are you looking to copy DVD's or just rip them to video files?

Question - will these work for video games ? The reason I ask is because I am tired of spending 60 bucks for a video game, my kids lend it out, it gets scratched and it comes back unplayable. Its happened more than once. Just curious.

1yr to lifetime update is $50 or so, is that worth it?

If the software works today, do I need a lifetime update?

talkign about anydvd? Yes, copyright protection is updated all the time, when new movies come out, they'll have new protection... and slysoft will have to come up with a way to crack it... and if you don't update, then you lose the ability to crack the new protection

LOL it is so easy to use. I have had it for 5 years. It was $70 for anydvd and clone DVD. Per year it is next to nothing to purchase. The quality is great to. I think it supports Blue Ray too. I have not yet tried it.
    Enjoy.

Actually, the quality is identical to the source. Anydvd doesn't encode the movie, it just straight rips it.

I know the older Sony Playstations needed a Mod chip installed to play a copy. I done a Mod chip update for a Playstation 1 and 2, not sure what they did for anything else. Not sure even if they still make chips or they been killed by now.

I have a Sony Playstation #1 with a mod chip, I could be talked out about it.

http://www.mod-chip.com/ I quess they are still around, but I don't anything about them now. What I did was a Mod chip 16 pin microchip with a lot of yellow wires, and some pictures to solder it in the game.

If you have a ps3 and games are really hard to rip, you could just download the game... they are available all over and are precracked and come with instructions on how to use them.

Some ripping software has audio hickups, is real blocky in the video, or the audio doesn't sync with the video.
    Thanks again

Is CloneDVD or CloneDVD Mobile a good choice for converting/compressing the ripped DVD for more efficient storage? AnyDVD HD looks like a great choice for ripping, I'm now just looking for something that can convert it into several formats either for more efficient storage on my HD while not sacrificing PQ, or for putting on an iPod or some such. Looks like CloneDVD or CloneDVD Mobile might be a good choice.

Yes, but that is the same as saying some audio ripping software has hiccups... that is certainly not the intention, though it may happen when you rip. Anydvd, in theory, produces 1:1
