Any advantage using single/bi-wire speaker cable over traditional termination?
In your opinion, what are the advantages of connecting speakers (RTiA9's) using a single to bi-wire configuration over the traditional termination?
If you could choose either, which would you use?
1. Traditional Amp end/Bi-wire speaker end
2. Traditional both ends

If you use the single at the amp end to bi-wire at the speaker end the advantage is that you lose the cheap brass jumpers.Political Correctness'.........defined

Thanks for the info, the debate goes on.

I know others will disagree but I've never noticed a difference between traditional and bi-wiring. Leave the jumpers on, use traditional terminations on both ends and enjoy.Display: Sony 42" LCD

There is no debate. Those that know, well, they know.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

I am using brass coat hangers for speaker wire:rolleyes:
Bi-Wiring can be adventitious. The only time I find that to be true is if you use different types of cables for the highs and lows. I used Silver on the highs and AQ CV4's on the lows. You need to be careful if you go this go this route don't buy cables to do this. The cables need to play with each other. If the cables are different tone at the XO point then it will not sound right. Moral of the story??? Get a good set of single cables, change the brass jumpers out for some decent speaker wires, and use a single channel of an amp to drive the speakers.
EnjoyPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks
