Do a search for amps. The topic has been beaten to death lately.
Happy hunting.
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Sorry I hit the wrong button. For me the Yamaha RX-V665 is a real contender in the 90wpc avr arena. Of course it has it's own little quirks but as an avr in the $400 range I do not see that many other examples .Now for some of the little things I don't like,It has preordained sound fields which only seem to add varying degrees of echo , reverb, and house settings from around the world. I do not like the volume scale that goes from-65 to + 20 I believe. Now all the good, it's a versitle amp that does have power to back it up. It is mostly up to date w/ all HDMI fittings and any other ports you might need. You can h/u a dedicated dock which I do and tunes play all day long.Very important it has pre-outs to h/u an external amplifier and use it as its own pre, also for H/T 90wpc is plenty and has the ability to go to 7.1 and add a zone 2 for an another room independant of what's going on in your main listening area. One other feature which did come into use was the protection circuit which when either pushed to hard, get to hot, or hit a frquency it did not like the amp shut down and this is exactly what is supposed to happen. All in all for price point, H/T apps and power provided
I 'm of the opinion you will like this avr....lw2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E
