New to forum, Is it okay to solder the speaker wire tips for placing into the speaker binding post?

    You can do it if you want. It's called "tinning". However, it is hard to get the diameter correct or not cook the insulation. I prefer banana plugs or spades.

    I'm a big bare wire fan. I use deoxit to keep oxidation away. No tinning. For convenience, I like crimped and soldered spades too, preferally silver over copper (not brass).
