My wife literally JUST blew out my newly acquired 1987 Monitor 7's... switched from her iPod to Radio and didn't realize volume was still cranked and radio came on and POP POP POP.... done :(

I keep reading in some much older posts that somewhere here on this site a place to order replacement parts... but I'll be darned if I can find it. Another post indicated something about free shipping and better prices for being a part of this club... and truth to that?

Any help in finding a replacement would be GREATLY appreciated, as I've literally had these speakers (my first polks) for two days; fell in love with them instantly, and now as soon as they came into my life, they're out...

Sorry for the noob Q's... I only somehow stumbled into this whole Polk Audio thing, and now I'm hooked, but left stranded :frown:

Welcome to the club and great speakers you have there when they work.

There is alot of neat threads on this forum that you can find by using the search box on top of this pase. I does work great but is sensitive to word/ model #'s and such but don't fret. The search box will give you a ton of fun reading when you get the quere right and it puts up 100 different threads pertaining to your need at the time.

Man, Monitor 7's. GREAT mid-level GEM!....
I've owned 3 pair and miss them now.:frown:
Monitor 5's are real close in sound. Monitor 10's will double the bass.

Go to polks' vintage page by clicking on top of this forums page. See where your polks fall in line and enjoy the ride.

Polks are truly a fun and high quality speaker line-up and which-ever one you choose to gravitate toward from here on out, you will not go wrong or be sorry.

Some of up gravitate 360* ond own all ages and styles because they're great to own. I just got Polks first mass produced set of 9A's and they are truely very special (off the map) to me.

With this club and your wallet, you'll be back in Polk.,Mr. Matthew Polk, heaven.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

I would try and find original 6502s which are pretty easy to find. The one Polk sells is a one fits all replacement. KG
