All acoustic. We found our seats second tier center stage good seats. I looked down at the stage 18 guitars and a keyboard two chairs and a mic. This man can play, one of the best shows I have seen.He did a few songs to start then people started to just shout out song requests. He played for about an hour took a short break and came back and played for close to two hours more. He played a lot of his old stuff and some new.Forgot the words to some songs and threw some papers on the floor to remember the words to some new songs. He said after 39 years of doing this sometimes he forgets the words.I'm looking forward to next time he comes to town.I had to laugh before the show started I noticed on the lower level a sea of silver hair and bald heads .I'm sure people on the lower level saw the same looking up at us.Boy have things changed for me when getting ready for a concert, It used to be stop at the liquor store for a bottle of something smooth and don't forget the fat sack. Now Its do I have my pain meds and a cold water.Back in the day the theater used to smell like pot when you walk in, last night it was stale channel #5 and bengay!!! Pretty good night for a bunch of old folks, Myself included.

i saw jackson browne a few years ago, he opened up for Tom Petty. no one from the younger crowd (the one i am in i guess) recognized him until he played "Stay" then they all ran up and cheered, afterward the younger crowd didnt seem to care. being a fan and just 23 at that time, i was certainly in the minority of people cheering for him. always a great live performance, and to be honest could have "stayed" on stage for another 3 hours and told tom petty to pack up and leave. ive seen petty 3 times, i wouldnt mind seeing Jackson Browne do a full evening. again, always a great live performance, and i will break the bank account to get a ticket or two to go see him if he ever comes back to Indy.

I've seen him twice. First time back in 80 on the Hold Out tour in Seattle. It was so good nobody would leave after the arena lights came on, so the band came out and did one more song.

I saw him again in the late 90's in Seattle at the Bumbershoot arts festival, I should've left the first show as a good memory and skipped that show.

He's going to be here in Tucson next week for a charity concert, I'm going to skip the show.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

If you saw a live concert and would like a CD or if you would like to hear what his live acoustic work sounds like or if you are just a Jackson Browne fan...

This is a must have 2 disc CD...

It is an excellent recording. SQ is so good that if you shut your eyes you can almost picture him sitting at the piano or playing his guitar mere feet in front of you. I could do without the clapping of the crowd…but I guess it is part of the “experience".

If it is anything like the album I mentioned above...missing it would be a mistake IMO. If he comes anywhere near me...I will be there!

I have the entire catalog of Jackson Browne's work except for any "best of" or "greatest hits" albums.

IMO...the BEST of them all is...

If you don't have it...get it!

    Next in line is...

If you like these...go from there.

Big JB fan here, myself. Probably my favorite singer-songwriter of all time. LOVED his first 6 albums - Jackson Browne, For Everyman, Late For The Sky (my fave too), The Pretender, Running on Empty & Hold Out. But then he turned political & lost me. Painful. I've since bought all his albums as well & still like some of the tunes off of every album. & The best concert I've ever been to was The Eagles, Browne & Linda Ronstadt. All were TERRIFIC but, IMHO, Browne was the best.

Much prefer vol1 over vol2 Solo Acoustic...but both are good. Also agree with Late For The Sky & Pretender being some of his best stuff although LFTS is not exaclty a "feel good listen" but more of a put you into deep thought kind of music for me. LOOOOng time JB fan myself and have a lot of his albums...as much as I like him I never did see him live, time to change that while I can!

I saw Jackson (first name basis ) for the first time, right after his #1 album release at the Coach House in San Juan Capo. If you know So Cal, you know where's it's at. Sat porch side to the stage with my feet kicked up, just Jackson on piano & David "Rayo" Lindley strumming, if one dares call his style strumming.

Over the years he has never failed to amaze & entertain. Just sayin'

I saw Jackson Browne for the first time after For Everyman came out.
He played Massey Hall in Toronto with Bonnie Raitt as the opening act.
That must have been 1972 or 73.
I also saw him at an amphitheater outside of Cleveland about 4 years ago on a bill with Keb Mo and Steve Earle.

I've been a long time Jackson Browne fan. Saw him for the first time in the 80's, Lawyers in Love tour in Germany, and 9 times since. Some of the highlights have been with Bonnie Raitte, Keb' Mo' and Bruce Hornsby. He's never put on a bad show and seems to get better w/age. I can't say I have a favorite album...Hold Out was my first and I have them all. It really depends on what mood I'm in when it comes to his old vs. new music.

Last August I saw him in Tulsa, OK and then 2 nights later in Grand Prairie, TX. Went to both shows because my man David Lindley was with him. What a treat to see the two of them together. I was lucky enough to meet Jackson and band members + David after the Tulsa gig. Jackson was very easy to speak w/and spent several minutes w/each person that was able to get his attention. David and I had a few laughs over his "Very Greasy" album.

The following shots are of me w/some of his band members + Jackson. I have a shot w/David, but I look like a total goof and won't post it. I'm not a celebrity hound but happened to be in the right place at the right time. Concert photos are from the OK and TX shows.

I also saw Jackson Browne I think it was during the lawyers in love tour the best thing was David Lindley and elrayo x was the opening act (mercury blues) and he joined Jackson Browne on his set as David Lindley was once a band member.
