hey guys so i just picked up some of the premium 3.5mm plugs from monoprice sent one from my ir repeater to my remote in jack on my hk avr247...Then i went from the remote out jack on the hk to the 12vdc jack on the back of the adcom...the hk turned on fine but the adcom just keeps switching itself on and off with every button i push...

When i go to power up the system the amp freaks out and turns it self on and off like ten times ...then off goes the adcom until i press a button then it freaks out again...so what am i doing wrong? is it the cable? is it the hk?or is it the adcom?maybe a fuse...i dunno need some help please

That is a remote jack. It's not for plugging in amps.

Seems like it. Is there a specific amp out jack? DC trigger? or a 12VDC trigger?

They call it a 12v trigger. I just leave my amp on. If you don't use it much it's not that hard to push the power button.

I thought the 12 volt trigger was built into the amp....will leaving it on hurt it in any way?

I used to leave my amps on 24/7. Some say that turning equiptment on and off stresses gear more than just leaving it on. Also some gear sounds better when warmed up.
