I have recently gone from an active to a passive crossover network. I really like the amp, but it wouldn't be in use here. I am offering it up for sale for $200 plus shipping. No lowballers please. With the mods included it is a very sweet deal.
Thanks
Ben

Ben what kind oF mods did you do to the amp. Also what would be shipping charges to 54467. Thanks!

I added some better small value caps to the PS, and added some snubbers to reduce noise. There is no DC coupling cap in this amp so it is a straight shot to the outputs. I would have to check shipping charges, but I think it would be $40 or less.

Chris, I need that GTA now, or forget it. I'm about to do a trade to get a GTA SE40 amp, and would like the pre to match.

Others, solid power on the cheap, what are you waiting for?

    Cheers,
    Russ

I'm interested. Please put me in line for consideration. Thanks!

(Since I'd be using it for SDA's, I'd assume your mods wouldn't break the common ground requirements, right?)

I have one of these, among other things, and it's a sweet amp for the price. Wish I had Ben's mods in 'mine'. That's a PLUS!

I do like them. This is the 3rd 545 I have bought. I get them and then don't need them so I sell them. Later I need another so the 545 is usually on top of my list for power/SQ/ and bang for the buck.

Amp received and tested. Thanks, Ben! My 1C's are really singing now!

Now I just need a good pre-amp to go with the 545. Hmmm....

Yeah, I've been thinking about getting a tube-pre. I suppose I should move this dialog to an amp forum, instead of inside a For Sale thread...
