YOU MUST TRY THIS, Hunts now has tomatos seasoned for chili.

it makes great chili.

Two cans of the chili tomatos

One can of fire roasted tomatos

cumin, coriander, parsley on 1.5 lbs of ground chuck as you brown it.

If you want, chopped onions

THATS IT, put the beef and tomatos together and eat

Like most chili its even better the next day

Trust me one time, for quick chili, its great.

I've been looking to make a chili for dinner that wouldn't take me 'forever' on nights my wife works late.

This looks like it might be the ticket.

    Many thanks!

If you like great chili, travel to Topeka Kansas and try to find/buy some Pedro Lopez chili powder. It's legendary stuff that used to be available via phone/mail order but, I've had no luck getting it in the last 10-12 years.:frown:

I think I posted my chili recipe in my Recipe Thread. Its a great recipe and simple prep. All the time is spent in the crock pot.

while stationed at fort riley ks.

my high school buddy, who joined up with me, and i, drove in the middle of the night to topeka, "quite a haul" for a 24 hour stereo store marathon sale, where i ended up buying some bose 501s.

We were embarking on the "Burn out weekend", which started out with great enthusiasm and whooping and hollering, along with mass consumption of several substances, liquid and otherwise.

Of course, about an hour into the flat kansas darkness, we wished we had stayed home.

we pulled into topeka very early, found the store and walked in with the two salesmen and believe it or not, another customer.

there was no chili powder to be found, but hearing about topeka brought back what is now a fun memory.

For some reason, all the Stagg chilli just went away.
I was much better than the other suff, yet all the local
supermarkets dropped them almost at the same time.
