I have the F/X wireless surround bar. It is about 9 feet from the receiver, behind two chairs on the floor. It sounds great, but is still sounds like it is coming from the floor. Shouldn't the sound be more diffused?

Hello and welcome to Club Polk. This is a relatively new product and many folks have not had the chance to listen to it, so responses will be minimal at best. Congratulations on the purchase.

I have heard this at a demo that Polk provided at headquarters while the unit was still not released to the public and while I know that you could probably care less about that, it did give me a chance to listen to it. What I heard is not what you are describing. Let me ask you some questions to assist you in achieving the best end result, OK?

Are the backs of the chairs angled back as to "block", if you will, the sound coming from it?

Could it be that some settings in your AVR [receiver] are set incorrectly?

How far away from the back wall is the product located?
~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

The chairs are about 2 feet apart and the FX is about a foot behind them right in the opening between them. I've checked the AV settings and it appears everything is setup correctly.
