Picked up a Sansui TU-9900 today!

Just picked up one of these for a trade for some tubes. Pretty big and heavy unit! Will be interesting to see how it does sound wise against my Scott 350B. The Sansui is suppose to be a great DX'er so that will be fun to try out also...

Plus, I will have to read the manual as the unit has all kinds of buttons and switches and jacks in the back...I'm too old for this!:eek:

    Very nice. I'm still researching tuners and have owned 4 Sansui's but never a 9900. That's a very highly regarded unit that I would love to hear. You are a lucky man!

    Those tuners go for some money these days. Must have been a hell of a tube stash you traded. I love my TU-717 but would also love to hear a 9900.

    Well, good and bad news. Good news is this thing pulls in all kinds of stations! Forgot to also mention it came with the original box and manual also:biggrin:

    Bad news is since its staying the Scott 350B tube tuner I looked for quite awhile and then managed to land a real nice factory wood case for and has had a recent going-over by Terry Dewick who did some mods and alignment has to go:frown:
