    Oh, the irony.

That said, I lived in FL for 5 years, and the drunk driving down there is out of this world. SO many people do it, mostly because cabs are inaccessible or incredibly expensive, and because urban sprawl has produced 'cities" that are enormous (Jacksonville is the largest city in the continental US, at ~750 sq miles!!). I don't condone DDing at all, but I've seen firsthand how easy it is to get stuck miles from home without a DD, and without the funds or willingness to pay $80 to get home. I'll always know $80 is better than the fines/guilt/jail time that DD has to offer, but obviously alcohol impacts decision making.

That's what should happen, but it seems the new enforcement system operates based upon who you are or who you know.

I guess she doesn't practice what she preaches. Not surprising at all, like a politician that talks about family values but has a hooker or mistress on the side.

They should make a show of this and really hit her with both barrels just to save some face.

She probably lost her 100K a yr. job and her bills have finally caught up to her lavish lifestlye that she used to enjoy nightly with out concern.

She should have the book thrown at her.

You are correct; so many people do it. Most of the people driving away from dinner tonight are legally drunk. Not hard to believe when most restaurants serve booze.

I hope anybody who drives legally drunk gets busted. It happened to me a long time ago, only once. I haven't driven under the influence of anything since.

Those who risk getting caught have either never been caught before or aren't familiar with the complete PAIN IN THE **** it is when you do get caught, not to mention the damage that can be caused to people and/or property.

Its pretty simple: Don't drink and drive. Ever. No excuses.
