I wouldn't buy anything from Monster, go for the Belkin.

Yeah but what about the stage one and two and three clean power hype from monster does belkin have that ....as far as the brand goes yeah I've never had problems with belkins products but I really hadn't had any issues with monster either besides that they are overpriced at times ....I dunno as far as power conditioners go I don't really know which is why I'm asking my fellow polkies ....

I have the belkin and like it, though I don't have much to compare it to. buy.com periodically puts it on sale for 60 with free shipping, so I would recommend getting on their email list and waiting till it comes on sale. I bought mine around Christmas and I have seen it come on sale at least once since then.

I have the first one(monster) and have never had a problem with it. If there is a surge it will shut everything down until things return to normal.

I have had a Monster for about 6 years - works great, looks good also. Personally I think Monster is overpriced, but Belkin seems cheap to me. I got the Monster for cost, so it worked for me.

A buddy of mine has the belkin your looking at and it has worked out well for him. But for 180 bucks you really cant beat the monster at buy.com
