So Los Lobos are in town tonight.. and i got some tickets... but i'm not very familiar with their music.. anyone shed some light on what type music they play?

If I had to classify from what of their music i've sampled online i think i would call it Mexican-American rockabilly... anyone else agree with this?

Both of those descriptions are too limiting. They cross many genres. Just go the the concert...then tell us what you think they are.

They are an excellent band IMO.

Some of the only new music I've purchased since the 80's. Great band.

If you like them, you might also enjoy "Los Lonely Boys". Kind of a TexMex/Santana/Stevie Ray Vaughan sound. Not limited to the pop sound of their single "Heaven".
Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support
group for that. It's called EVERYBODY, and they meet at the bar.

well.. i enjoyed the concert and so did a lot of other people... lots of people dance to their music.. it does make you want to get up and move the junk in your trunk though.

THey are for sure seasoned accomplished musicians there is no doubt about that. What they mostly played was what I would call a mix of rock, pop/dance and mexican music. Overall, i was pretty impressed.. and I would see them again if I get the chance. THey sure have a following of long time fans... as most of the crowd was over 40.

they didn't play La Bamba though.. not sure why they didn't... but that would have been a good way to end the concert.
