There are silver options for a lot of receivers. Or you could go vintage. Better sound in a lot of the vintage stuff anyway.Turntable: Empire 208
Arm: Rega 300
Cart: Shelter 501 III
Phono Pre: Aural Thrills
Digital: Pioneer DV-79ai
Pre: Conrad Johnson ET3 SE
Amp: Conrad Johnson Evolution 2000
Cables: Cardas Neutral Reference
Speakers: SDA 2.3TL, heavily modified -
I have got vintage, just looking for something new and different to play with. What got me started is I was looking at the Yamaha stuff and went to their website to see if there was a silver option. If there is they don't show it. Same thing on Onkyo's site. Don't care for the appearance of Outlaw and Kenwood so I am running out of options (from my limited knowledge). I guess I prefer the more traditional receiver appearance. Lots of knobs and switches on the front. Which of course vintage stuff has.... but I am hoping for something new.

Are the new, retro-styled Yamaha amps and receivers available (in the US) with silver facades? I think so...

EDIT: Only the amps so far, in the US, I guess, are available in silver.

Or, even the 70's Yamahas... -
I don't know about receivers, but I love the silver face gear. I have an Odyssey Stratos amp and TAD Signature preamp, and both have a silver face - I think it looks sexy!

What's your budget? Harman Kardon still makes a good 2 channel. The face is mostly silver.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

I love the old receivers with the blue lighting. They were nicer looking to me than the newer black ones. I was nicer looking back then myself:biggrin:......no blue lights.....TO ERR IS HUMAN. TO FORGIVE IS CANINE.
