I am now in the world of boogie thanks to Canned Heat. The CD, The Very Best of Canned Heat, is great. Great for both songs, and sound.

If you like 70s Blues-Rock then this CD does the job. If you like 70s Blues-Rock that somehow turned into a great sounding CD then this CD does the job. I can't believe how good all the songs are sounding. Generally speaking, CDs of 70s albums tend to not be as well sounding as on this CD, and it has a high percentage of good songs to bad. Which is a good thing.

I have the Best of Canned Heat as well & find it way better than anticipated. Only had a few of their hits until getting this album & so glad that I did.

I think of them as being more of the 1960s than the 1970s, but in fairness they're (sort of) still around, I guess.

I've been a Canned Heat fan since about '68 or '69. I just got a still sealed copy, from the 1970's, of "Boogie with Canned Heat."

I do not remember which album it is, but one of their albums has a neat trick. Back in the old, ancient days I had a turntable (ugh), and it was a completely manual turntable, the AR-XA I believe was its name. Completely manual means at the end of the album side I have to physically lift the arm from the album, and return it to the arm rest.

Anyway, one night after to much beer and herb I fell asleep while listening to a Canned Heat album. Later when I woke, I was hearing "boogie, boogie, boogie, boogie, boogie, boogie,........." over and over. WTF is that I was wondering, and then I realized that "boogie" was recorded into the end of the album side, and it played as long as the tone arm was on the table. It was actually kind of neat at the time. Especially to wake up to.
