Sub Out or Pre Out????

Should I hook up my woofers on my RT2000i to the Sub Out on the back of the receiver, or hook them up to the 5.1 RCA Pre Out Left & Right connections on the back of the receiver? Am I correct in thinking if I hook them up to the Pre Outs, I will have stereo bass in the fronts? I have the fronts set to Large, and the Center/Surrounds set to small.

At this time, I'm not interested in bi-wiring.

yes use the sub out with is the same as the 5.1 out with is the .1 out. or set your mains to largeand just leav the jumpers on.

Wouldn't I have the benefit of having lows in stereo, and having the .1 going to the center/surrounds?

This is probably a stupid question, but if I leave the jumpers on, does the amp power the subs on the RT2000i, or does each amp in the tower power the subs??

the jumpers will just feed the sigonal to the sub amps so that is y you need to put them on large. you will get all the lfe ment for the mains but wont get the .1 bass. but the part where you can run into trubble with ht is when yopu start adding more than 1 spot where the bass comes from you can get nasty nulls.

So I should triple split them out of the Sub Out and set all my speakers to small...thus sending .1 to the towers and the floor sub?
