I was wondering if someone could please help me?

My fuse on the power wire for the subwoofer amp keeps blowing each time i turn the system on. I've checked the lines and connections. The only thing im not sure is if it's the current size, im currently using a 60a fuse but the amp itself uses two 40a fuses. Is that right? or do i need a larger fuse?

um thanks in advance!

the amplifier is pulling 80 total amps. you need at least an 80 amp fuse. that 60 amp fuse is way too small.

if u have hte volume on your headunit at "ZERO" and you just turn the head on (but still no volume) and the amp blows the fuse without putting out any sound to teh speaker (Since the volume is at zero) then you either have a short somewhere in the line or the amp has a blown output stage most likely.

otherwise - if its just blowing when you turn the power up and "juice" the subs, then as Jstas said, get a bigger fuse dude.
