TSI 100 vs. TSI 200 Demo I Recently Made...

I'm currently trying to decide between these two speaker systems for a 14' x 24' light duty type workshop space and they'll be run with a 100 wpc 2 ch amp that's of a no frills economy type probably putting out close to the same power into 4 or 8 ohms. Source will be wirelessly streamed iTunes files and internet radio of varying quality.

At any rate, I demo'd the 100s against the 200s at a Frys store recently running from a middle-of-the-road Denon AV Receiver in 2 ch. mode with no subwoofers running and was surprised by my impressions -- The 100s handily beat the 200s by my subjective standards, sounding very musical and balanced over all frequencies. I easily perceive the extra bass in the 200s but, to my ears, there was a large "missing area" between the lower middle of the midrange to the lowest frequencies of the bass.

I'm wondering now if I might have been dealing with a damaged or incorrectly connected pair of 200s. Has anyone listened to these two systems side by side and experienced the same results? Different?

Thanks...

Frys rarely seems to set stuff up correctly. I remember demoing center channels, and the cs10 sounded better than the rti a6. That's absolutely implausible. Who knows what was wrong. I think the 100's are great, but my money is on the 200's being better.
