I have to sell my 13 month old Salamander Synergy Twin 30 cabinet- I'm upgrading to a Synergy Quad 20 to accommodate a drastic change in my living room...

I bought the Twin 11 months ago, and it's virtually brand new. These AV cabinets are unbelievably amazing. You can mix and match add on's from the company to accommodate virtually any configuration. It's also very sturdy- it will hold any TV or stereo that you throw at it! I had a 70lbs slate turntable base sitting on it for a while. The shelving is micro adjustable, so there's no problem fitting everything in there. Check out their website for more information about how you can customize it:

http://www.salamanderdesigns.com/syn/twins.jsp

It is Maple with black hardware, and black mesh (perforated) sides and doors (For maximum ventilation. I used to have 100W Cary Slam 100 tube monoblocks...). If you prefer the solid maple sides, you can order those from Salamander and drop them in yourself. I have the back panels and all the parts and tools that came with it. I paid just over $1000 for it 11 months ago.

There are some blemishes on the top that are slightly noticeable, and they may possibly clean off. I tried with windex, but it didn't do much and I don't have anything better to use. There are some faint small circles from the feet of one of my turntables, and a darker more noticeable spot from a rubber clamp from a lamp that I had. I tried to get a better photo of them, but I seemed to misplace my real camera- all I have is my iPhone.

If you have a small car, I can help you take it apart for transportation.

For payment, cash is always accepted, of course, but I will also accept PayPal if you cover the 3% fee.

No shipping, unfortunately, since I don't have the original packing materials. If you can order the boxes and have them shipped to me, the I'd definitely be willing to box it up and ship it to you.

So, that leaves a local pickup in the NYC area.

Email me if you have any questions!

-Phil

These are solid, beautiful racks, I own a triple-twenty in cherry.

I really want one of these but I don't know where I would put my center. Any suggestions on how to make one of these work with a LSiC without going to the triple? I want to put the TV on top and avoid wall mounting. Is it possible to cut down that middle center support?

I know there is a number of accessories that can be added to any of their racks, you'd have to go on their website and see what options are available. I have bought extra shelving, doors, etc. for mine.

I agree. I wouldn't reach for the hack saw, since you'd also have to cut the doors down. You can purchase the shorter posts and doors a la carte from the Salamander website.

As for the LSiC, I'm not sure what that is...

Though it's too late, you could have bought a Twin Riser, which adds a full-width shelf for a center speaker. The pic below is from a system many years ago - Twin 20 + Riser, where I had the same situation you had (no place for center with TV on top of cabinet):

You could also opt for the Double Width Shelf Kit, which goes inside between the main shelves to accommodate wide center speakers.

Salamander racks are some of the best - built like tanks, and completely customizable and adjustable...

Thanks Mak99, I actually ended up buying it, although i mounted my tv so i probably wont be getting the double width shelf kit. Amusingly the adjustable level feet looked like they would take an hour to set, some being almost a quarter inch further out than the others. The cabinet was no where close to being level when i brought it inside, until i got it into place. Apparently my floor is almost identically unlevel as its previous location. Ill get a pic up once my cabels are under control.
