So when the Jersey Shore S#!T-bags get wasted and party 'till they puke and beat each other up its entertainment, but when old uncle Charley does it everybody freaks out.

I love this show too and don't care what the actors do in their spare time unless I'm invited to the party.

I heard Jon Cryer's contract with the show is up after the current season. If CBS cancel the show completely, which I seriously doubt, Cryer would miss out on a huge pay increase....especially after his Emmy win as Sheen's younger brother, Alan.

Sheen's been a weak and pathetic individual off-camera for a long time and it doesn't appear that will be changing any time soon.

The show's been great entertainment. I don't remember a bad episode and will miss it.

A fictional show (yes, Jersey Shore is fictional) about getting drunk and fighting with your friends is TOTALLY the same as, in real life, doing drugs and beating up women. Totally the same.

Not that we should expect intelligent comments from fans of that show.

And by the way, Sheen has been in trouble DOZENS of times, but he got FIRED because he kept badmouthing his bosses publicly. Try going on the news and telling the world what a dick your boss is, see how long you keep your job.

He did an interview with the Today Show, declaring war on CBS and the producers of his TV show. He claimed that CBS is denying him and his family "their money" and of attempting to destroy his family by taking away his income. There was no word mentioned about any of the people that lost their jobs because of his actions, and no hint of remorse.

I don't think I've ever seen a complete episode of this show. A few minutes was all it took to realize I wasn't very impressed.

Sheen's best work as an actor was 20+ years ago...and even then his best roles were Charlie being the punk-**** he is in real life. Type casting I guess.

I agree... I remember the conversations we had a while back when Michael Vick was picked up by the Eagles, and I took a some heat for saying he should not be allowed back in the NFL under any circumstance. I feel the same about Charlie Sheen. People that are given the spotlight and all the money and fame that being an actor/athlete entails have an inherent obligation to conduct themselves with a basic decency. I understand full well that EVERYONE makes mistakes, and deserves a second chance.

Charlie has had a few of those already in his career. If you were a teller at a bank caught taking five bucks out of the drawer, jail time is not that far out of the realm of possibility, and you would never work in any financial sector job again... no second chance. Further, you would have one hell of a time finding another job doing anything else, so likely not even a first chance in another field.

So I ask, why the sympathy for the rich douchebag that blew his/her shot for the easy life by their own stupidity, and none for the poor shlub that has to work for a living? Seems to me we have our priorities out of whack when we sympathize with those that have it all and blow it and have none for the guy who has everything to loose and no chance to get their life back on track.

There's a problem with statements like that though.

If I were working in a bank and stole money from them I'd expect to be fired and never work at a bank again. If I worked at a bank and got caught with a hooker I wouldn't necessarily expect to be fired from the bank. What effect (other than maybe illustrating bad judgement) does my outside relationship with a hooker have on my bank job? And if we're going to start firing people from bad judgement then our unemployment rate is going to skyrocket.

You're trying to connect two things that aren't connected in my mind.

I actually agree and think they guy should lose his job, but did not come to that conclusion using your logic.

Who is this question directed to? Who has shown sympathy for someone and none for someone else in this thread? Or is this just a general comment?

^^^ Just a general comment. I have more sympathy for a guy that goes to work every day. The guy that makes a mistake and pays the price for it, then does everything right to get his life back. Repeated mistakes by a guy that already has it all, showing no remorse or accountability, then demanding that he has a RIGHT to his position and income regardless of his actions simply makes my blood boil. There is not one person here that wouldn't love to have a shot at making 1/10th of Charlie's income per YEAR, much less per episode. Maybe Hollywood should do just that. I doubt seriously that they will, because it's never about doing the right thing anymore... only about the money.

I don't get the people who don't care a wit about the extra curricular activities of the people they help earn a living by watching their shows or buying their music. I mean, there's a line, right? I watch/listen to all sorts of people with whom I merely disagree. What Chucky has been up to is a bit beyond simple disagreement.

Is what Charlie Sheen has been up to with the drugs and whores (both illegal in most states) contemptible? Where's the line? If he was groping kids, is that far enough to stop watching?

Not general questions at all. Its directed at those who say they don't care what these actors do in their 'private' lives. Blanket statements like that aren't using your brain. No judgment? My ****. Life is full of judgments and they're warranted.

It is relevant because now Charlie is claiming CBS caused him and his family emotional distress and financial loss. He is obviously oblivious to the damage he has done to the lives of others, and believes the sun comes up only to serve his whims. My point is that with an attitude such as he has displayed, he should not be allowed to work in Hollywood again, just like the bank teller would be done in banking... He had his opportunity and blew it.

As I said, I could care less what the actors do or don't do with their private life. If they are into something illegal, justice should take care of that. If that does not work as it should, then there's something else wrong that has nothing to do with the fact that I like a show.

And Noosh, no, it is not relevant. You asked a question as if someone here was supporting his actions. I don't think anyone is.

They'll find Sheen dead in a few months, likely from choking on his own vomit.

Having said that, the show will not survive without him...but it's about time anyway, it's getting a little long in the tooth. FWIW, I am a fan of the show--but Charly needs to lose the chip, and back the ego down a few notches.

Sheen claims he's a "warlock" and that "CBS should apologize to him and lick his feet":confused:

if you see his interview today.. it's pretty easy to tell he's hopped up on something.. his agrumentive demeanor and they way he can't stay still for a minute.. is classic drug use behavior.

This is what set me off earlier today... That translates to a tad over $1,000,000 per WEEK! Combine this with his having absolutly no remorse or sympathy for any of the hundreds of people his actions have put out of work. Eff Charlie!

I have worked with Charlie Sheen for a long time and I care about him very much. However, at this time, I'm unable to work effectively as his publicist and have respectfully resigned.

Further to that, I saw a news blurb that said in the missing publicist's absence, Sheen brought 2 or 3 escorts/hookers along to represent him!

On a side note, he recently seems not to ever fully show his teeth when he smiles, and what he does show looks weird. Meth damage maybe?
